Explorer Ventures
"Explorer Ventures" runs three deluxe live-aboard dive boats, operating in four different locations.
Dive the Galapagos in comfort on the newest ship in the fleet. The "MV Humboldt Explorer" was built in Equator in 2009 specifically for the Galapagos. She is a 106 foot, 2 level steel, mono-hull vessel and was built for stability on the long crossings to Darwin and Wolf Islands. The vessel offers 6 lower and 2 upper staterooms, each with large windows, private baths and full-size twin beds that can be converted to queen beds. The enchanted islands of the Galapagos provide high-voltage diving in an area visited by a lucky few. The diving is challenging, but the rewards are great – schooling hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, whale sharks, mantas and more.
The "Caribbean Explorer II" carries 18 passengers in nine air-conditioned double staterooms. Each room has a private, lavatory, shower and toilet. 7 day itineraries include up to 5 dives a day, 3 meals/day plus snacks, and all drinks. Her routes include the Bahamas and Caribbean.
Southern Bahamas:
Weekly departures are available during the spring and summer months from picturesque George Town, Bahamas. Enjoy the big-animal action, pristine walls and reefs that only the Southern Bahamas provides.
Northeastern Caribbean:
The fall and winter months find the vessel in the Northeastern Caribbean, departing every other week from St. Kitts or St. Maarten. This “forts to frog fish” itinerary combines pristine diving and wonderful optional island tours. Dive the pinnacles of Saba, the wrecks & reefs of Statia, and the finger reefs and drop offs of St. Kitts. Turks & Caicos Explorer II “Beautiful from the top of the boat to the bottom of the wall” Join Explorer Ventures aboard the beautiful Turks & Caicos Explorer II for a bit of luxury and terrific diving. This luxury vessel carries no more than 20 guests and departs weekly from Providenciales. All staterooms have portholes or windows, air-conditioning, and private ensuite bathrooms. You can dive up to 5 times daily on incredible sites such as Black Coral Forest and Shark Hotel, along with a multitude of others, including the region's plunging walls.
