The State of Sabah is well known with adventure and dive travelers for it’s abundance of eco-treasures. Play with the Orang Utan, the “wild man of Borneo”, in the largest such sanctuary in the world, climb to the awesome peak of the highest mountain in the region and, of course, go diving!
Diving in the warm waters around the islands of Mabul and Sipadan gives you great variety: Pristine walls, macro life, green turtles, sharks, large schools of barracuda, shallow reefs, nudibranchs, flamboyant cuttlefish & mandarin fish, just to name a few.
With Sipadan now being a fully protected conservation zone, your stay will be on the island of Mabul, just a 20 minute boat ride away. Our partner: Borneo Divers and Mabul Resort

Day 1 – Departure from N. America
Day 2 - Arrival in Kota Kinabalu
- Meet and greet by Borneo Divers and transfer to
Hotel area of your choice
- Afternoon at leisure, overnight
Day 3 - Meet at hotel at 0430 hrs
- Transfer to KK International Airport for flight to Tawau
- Transfer to Semporna by bus ( 1.5 hours)
- Transfer to Borneo Divers Mabul Resort by ferry boat (1 hour)
- Welcome drink and orientation briefing
- Check into chalets
- relax and lunch
- 1st Orientation boat dive
- relax, coffee /tea (self service) and snacks
- 2nd boat dive
- relax and dinner
Day 4 - 8 - 6 days of 3 boat dives a day with 2 in Sipadan and 3rd dive in and around Mabul/Kapalai
- 1 sunset dive in Mabul
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 9 - No diving on the day of flying
- Breakfast and check out at 9.00am
- Depart at around 10.30am to Semporna and then to Tawau Airport
- Overnight either in Kota Kinabalu or connection to Kuala Lumpur

3 days/2 nights Sandakan land tour (full board), itinerary (continued from Day 9) as follows:
Day 9 - Fly from Tawau to Sandakan

Sample 9days/7nights package:

- Pick up from airport and transfer to Sabah Hotel
- Overnight at Sabah Hotel, Sandakan inclusive dinner and breakfast in the hotel
Day 10 - Pick up from the hotel and proceed on a 2 hours drive by passing oil palm plantation to Gomantong Caves.

- Explore the largest bird's nest cave in Sabah
- Depart for Sukau by the Kinabatangan River
- Take a boat ride and across river to Sukau River Lodge and check in
- Take a boat trip to cruise river to view proboscis monkeys, birds and other wildlife until nightfall.
Day 11 - Depart for Sandakan to Sepilok Orang Utan Centre
- Feeding of orang utans at Platform A
- Proceed to either walk along a nature trail to see vegetation and animal life in the rainforest or

watch the nature video program at the Nature Education Centre.
- City tour to include visit to observation pavilion, central market, Chinese temple, church and drive to the

water village to see houses on stilt above water occupied by local tribes.
- Return to Kota Kinabalu for 1 more overnight
Day 12 - Return flight back to N. America
