During WWII the British supply ship the SS Thistlegorm was on its way to North Africa with a full cargo of military supplies. She was hit by a long range German bomber and sank upright, almost fully intact. Today many artifacts remain and the SS Thistlegorm has become one of the most popular wreck dives in the world. Other wrecks on this route include the Rosalie Moeller, Giannis D, Carnatic, the lentil wreck, the tile wreck and the Salem Express. Ras Mohammed Marine Park and the Brothers Islands give this route a well rounded mix of wrecks, walls and reefs.
